THE BUFFALO SUBWAY SYSTEM SPANS THE CITY FROM THE CITY LINE AT THE TOWN OF
AMHERST INTO THE CITY DOWN TO THE WATERFRONT. IT SPANS APPROXIMATELY 8 MILES.
Along the subway stops are such sites as University of Buffalo, Canisus College, The Anchor Bar, Buffalo Medical campus, Allentown, Shea's Buffalo and HSBC Arena to name a few. The Subway system travels below ground for most of the the route and is available above ground downtown, like a tram, above ground the subway is free!
The NIAGARA FRONTIER TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY system is a combined system, including the Buffalo Airport, all of the Metro busses and other services.
